Caffeine is not the first thing which comes to mind when one thinks of foods and substances which enhance muscle growth. Caffeine is a stimulant which provides energy, found in several popular drinks such as coffee, tea, and energy drinks. It acts as a stimulant. Most people consume drinks which contain a high concentration of caffeine in the morning to benefit from an increase in energy and wake up. However, the benefits of caffeine extend beyond the energy-providing substance which most people associate it with. This article is geared towards providing a different perspective on caffeine by exploring the following question: Does caffeine enhance muscle growth and athletic performance?
